When I was thinking about what would create a cozy and memorable Christmas kitchen for my new wee grand babes, I pictured a whimsical gingerbread house.
We’ve made gingerbread houses over the years as a family activity and it’s always fun. They never turn out quite this cute, but it’s the memory making that counts.
But I have to say I’m in love with this charming ceramic lighted gingerbread house! We will for sure continue our tradition of making our own DIY versions and making those memories, but I can’t wait to bring this special one out every Christmas.
Even though our two grand babies Forrest and Lila are not even a year old yet, I am so excited to begin Christmas traditions with them.
They may not remember their first Christmas, but they will get their pictures taken with the gingerbread house in Grammy’s kitchen. Then every year we’ll set up the gingerbread house and have our hot chocolate and cookies together.
I adore these festive Rifle Paper Nutcracker plates, mugs, serving tray and mistletoe napkins! Perhaps like my girls did with their grandma and I did with my parents, we’ll get dressed up and go to the Nutcracker together! Then we can get them nestled all snug in their beds so visions of sugar-plums can dance in their heads!
Happy Christmas memory making!
