We’re always on the lookout for interesting and innovative organizing solutions, and one of the retailers we always turn to for these is Yamazaki. Headquartered in Japan, Yamazaki specializes in creating stylish, small-space solutions, both of which we love here at The Kitchn. So we were delighted to hear that our sister site, Apartment Therapy, partnered with Yamazaki on a colorful line of kitchen essentials.

Yamazaki is known for its minimalist storage solutions, typically available in only white or black; if you’re a frequent Kitchn reader, you know that we love a pop of color. AT worked with Yamazaki to create a delightful Yellow Pear color that’ll bring joy to your space in more ways than one. They launched a bread box, a countertop wire shelf, a rolling storage cart, a paper towel holder, and a magnetic storage caddy. Not only will these items make your home more beautiful, but they’ll also help wrangle clutter and make your space feel more orderly.

What Is the Apartment Therapy x Yamazaki Collaboration?

It’s a capsule kitchen organizing essentials collection that is all in a cheery Yellow Pear color. There are a total of five pieces (which you can also use in more than just your kitchen, because they’re so versatile!). For example, you could use the rolling cart in any room, including the bathroom. Yamazaki’s products are durable and easy to clean, thanks to the mostly steel design.

“Apartment Therapy and Yamazaki Home share a mission in making homes happy and healthy with great design,” explained Maxwell Ryan, founder and CEO of Apartment Therapy. “We were thrilled with the opportunity to introduce a vibrant color option to Yamazaki’s popular product line, bringing even more joy into the home.”

Why I Love the Apartment Therapy x Yamazaki Magnetic Storage Caddy

I’ve been a fan of Yamazaki for my entire time at The Kitchn. I own a few pieces, including this makeup organizer. I was so thrilled to find out they were launching a collab and couldn’t wait to try it out in my own home. One of the pieces from the launch that I was most excited about was the Magnetic Storage Caddy. I love organizing solutions that create spaces out of thin air, while also decluttering an overstuffed space. I live in a small, one-bedroom apartment in New York City, and my kitchen cabinets are filled to the brim. The magnetic storage caddy looked like it would free up the bottom shelf of my kitchen cabinet and accommodate at least some of my spices.

This shelf is renter-friendly (I hate the idea of drilling a ton of holes into my wall and then not getting my security deposit back) and stuck to the fridge, thanks to the magnet. Instead of just holding a few spices, it held my entire spice collection, while adding a much-needed pop of color to my kitchen. When I’ve had friends over since installing it, they’ve complimented it and asked where they can get it. And it’s just $25, which is a steal.

Basically, the entire collection is full of organizing gems, and I can’t wait to figure out how I can use the rolling cart in my home next.
