Sony, the studio behind Starz’s adaptation of Outlander, is setting its eyes on Jennifer L. Armentrout’s Blood and Ash series.
According to Deadline, the production will center on five of Armentrout’s books: From Blood and Ash, A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire, The Crown of Gilded Bones, The War of Two Queens, and A Soul of Ash and Blood.
Here’s the sexy synopsis of the first book in the series, From Blood and Ash, per Goodreads:
The TV universe of the series, again according to Deadline, might even expand beyond the first five books in the Blood and Ash series; Armentrout has a sixth book in the works, and has already published a four-book prequel set in the same world.
This news comes soon after the announcement that Armentrout was also working on a romantasy reality show called The Keys.
The Blood and Ash adaptation is still in its early days, so no news yet on casting or when it will go into production.
