The sequel series, The Librarians: The Next Chapter, is set to premiere on TNT in May, and to celebrate the occasion, the network is partnering with Little Free Library, the non-profit that supports individuals building tiny libraries where anyone can take or leave a book.
Starting on May 25, 2025 (which is also the day of The Next Chapter’s premiere), two hundred Little Free Libraries will receive books and custom Librarians swag, including The Librarians tie-in novels, collectible branded bookmark charms, and window vinyls. TNT will also support the creation of ten new custom-designed Little Free Libraries across the United States that are themed to promote The Next Chapter.
You can find a participating Little Free Library near you by heading to the organization’s online map and app starting on May 25. That day, you can also check out the much-anticipated sequel series.
Here’s the official synopsis for the show:
The Librarians: The Next Chapter centers on Vikram Chamberlain (Callum McGowan), a “Librarian” from the past who time traveled from 1847 and now finds himself stuck in the present. When Vikram returns to his castle in Belgrade, Serbia and discovers that it is now a museum, he inadvertently releases magic across the continent. With the help of a new team of eclectic heroes, including a savant in world history, a scientific genius, and a highly skilled Guardian, Vikram has only six months to clean up the mess he made.
Throughout the season, the team will embark on fantastical adventures, including a surprise reroute to a manor where Agatha Christie-styled murders take place, a time-travel back to the days of King Arthur at Camelot and even an encounter with the first-ever vampire.
The Librarians: The Next Chapter will premiere its first episode on TNT on Sunday, May 25, 2025, following NBA Playoffs coverage. The second episode will premiere on TNT the next day, May 26, following NHL Playoffs coverage. Subsequent episodes will air on Monday nights.
