President-elect Trump asked the Supreme Court to block his sentencing on Friday on 34 New York felony counts of falsifying business records.
Trump’s emergency application asks the court to prevent the prosecution from moving ahead until his appeals implicating presidential immunity are resolved.
“This Court should enter an immediate stay of further proceedings in the New York trial court to prevent grave injustice and harm to the institution of the Presidency and the operations of the federal government,” Trump’s attorneys wrote.
